Sidney Herald Article on Badlands

Click on the link below and you will find an article by the Sidney Herald about Badlands.  It is interesting to be interviewed as an author.  One speaks things that when you hear isolated, you think, I didn’t really mean that. (I said that in Badlands there is no intense relationship to nature, which of course, there is, indicated obviously by the title of the book! Not sure what the hell I was thinking. I also said that what makes a good book worth reading is that you don’t have to work at it.  Well, I’ve been teaching good books for all my career and have worked at each and every one!  Whoops.)  But, it is a good article and I am very thankful to Susan Minichiello for doing the interview and writing the article.  The Sidney Herald is the newspaper from Sidney, Montana, which is the very first place in Montana my family and I lived.  I was born there, my dad served the Congregational church there, and then we moved to Portland, Ore, before returning to eastern Montana and Glendive.  Thanks Sidney Herald.
