Book Launch Jitters
On the eve of the coming out party, so to speak, of Badlands, even though its been out for two months now, I’m not even sure what I’m going to read. Worse yet, my wife doesn’t know what she’s going to wear! Oh my. The jitters of the book launch.
In truth, I’m pleased and more than happy to be able to share Badlands. My wife Lena and I are hosting the party at the Sugar Maple bar in beautiful downtown Bayview. I am very happy too that my good friend Darrell and his musician partner Howard (together they make Embedded Reporter) are playing music for the event. They’re very good, and anyone who wants to check out their music can do so here: http://www.embeddedreportermusic.com/
Lena and I are looking forward to seeing friends and family, colleagues, and kids and to celebrating this work. It’s been my ongoing writing assignment for —- many years now. Well, it’s here, you can see it advertised on this site. You can read an excerpt. I hope for those locals reading this, that you can come down to the Sugar Maple (http://www.mysugarmaple.com/) on Sunday, the 18th, from 4-6.
It’s a book. About a boy. And his friends. In the badlands.
